Thom Spencer
Thom was born in the Tuscani Valley and has an extensive background in improvisation. Thom has never set goals, gone to school, or had any real plans and thus, his whole life has been an improv.
After high school, Thom initially sought a career as an eye model, but was disappointed early on. He then turned to performing and pursued this vigorously, despite having very limited talent.
Bouncing around from set to set as an extra in such movie greats as Man With One Red Shoe (as 3rd man on escalator), The Big Lebowski (as guy in body bag), Braveheart (as English guy with spear wearing helmet killed by arrow #38), and his crowning achievement in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (as Orc #1487). He has also been in numerous crowd scenes.
It was in New Zealand when filming Lord of the Rings when he met fellow Hot Seat cast member Adam Hood. Thom did not like Adam at first, due to the fact that Adam took his spot as Orc #1487 and moved Thom to Orc # 1576 which was mainly in crowd scenes only. According to Thom, Adam took the role because of his "stupid southern hick accent and younger, skinnier and wimp-like appearance…the creep". Thom does a pretty good job of concealing his malevolent feelings toward Adam on stage, however, backstage the tension is as plain as a hump on a camel.
